Jason Rogers

Take Me To Banaue Co-Writer

Writing (ghost writing, poetry, academic writing, technical writing, etc.) has always been part of Jason’s life. He has both an MA in both Korean Literature and Shakespeare, which followed a degree in English Literature. There was no Screenwriting major in Mississippi, so what could he have done? In Korea, too, there wasn’t an easily accessible Screenwriting degree, so Korean poetry it was. This was an eye opening experience for Jason for he was running out of western Literature to read. Once Korean literature became accessible to him, so did a new world. Jason even became a publish poet in Korea with his book Table War. During these years, he worked as an educator and as a technical writer for the Engineering and Physics departments at the university he worked at. In the last few years, Jason has also worked as a legal writer and has published numerous books under many pen names.

Jason’s screenwriting career started off when he was seventeen years old and sold his first screenplay titled Right Below The Cloak Of Elves to a small production company.

Then followed many years of writing and selling art film screenplays under different pen names.  He didn’t want to be famous—not to mention, his career as an educator didn’t allow the luxury of writing art films. Welcome To Banaue is Jason’s step towards bringing himself into the light to make a name for himself. Screenwriting has always been a passion. He loves writing and looks at things most writers complain about as a challenge or a puzzle to be solved.  Jason will write anything, make it great, and have fun doing it.
